The 6.5mm Creedmoor, designated 6.5 Creedmoor by SAAMI, 6,5 Creedmoor by the C.I.P. Or 6.5 CM or 6.5 CRDMR for short, is a centerfire rifle cartridge introduced by Hornady in 2007 as a modification of the.30 TC, which was based on the.308 Winchester. It was designed specifically for long-range target shooting. Came to be, 6.5 Creedmoor ballistics, reloading 6.5 Creedmoor, hunting with 6.5 Creedmoor, and more. The goal is to provide all of the information you “need to know” about this cartridge with the hopes that you’ll discover the “rest of the story” with first-hand experiences, research, reloading, and shooting.
So I’ve decided to delve deeper into long range shooting and reloading . I’ve got a Ruger American Predator 6.5 Creedmoor (22” barrel with a 1:8” RH twist) with a Primary Arms 4-14x 44mm FFP MOA scope perched on top of a Harris 6-9” notched, swivel bipod. For bullet heads I have Hornady SST 140gr, Hornady Interlock 140gr, Hornady ELD-X 143gr, and Sierra TMK 107gr. Powder wise I’ve got Varget, IMR 4350, and IMR 4895. I use Hornady and Starline Brass, typically with CCI primers (pretty sure that’s what I’ve been using).
If it isn’t too much trouble I was hoping someone could tell me the load data for the Hornady bullets with the powders I have and at what grain amount, since Hornady doesn’t publish them for free. Additionally, do y’all have any recommendations for these bullets and powder combos in terms of grain amount? Hopefully this doesn’t come off as too needy or unresourceful, but no one I know is into long range shooting, hence why I’m turning to y’all for the finer details when it comes to reloading.
